The trail to Wizard beach looks very different after the recent overhaul! And even though we're a bit nostalgic because the old path was truly special, I'm sure we're not gonna miss to get stuck or slide in the mud when it's raining 😅

The Panamanian Afro-Caribbean language Guari Guari is unfortunately disappearing in many places. In Old Bank/ Bastimentos it's still very much alive and it's actually the first language of most inhabitants. Guari Guari is not "bad English"! It's a language of its own and it carries a lot of history and culture in it. It should really be protected and its use encouraged!

Wow, what a year! If 2020 has taught us anything, I think it's this: Don't take anything in your life for granted!

Thankfully, we're still here, all healthy and happy, and reopen to welcome visitors. Also, the beach is still here, as are the sea, the waves, and the jungle 🌅🏝🌊🌳🌴

We're looking forward to 2021 and hope to see you in Bastimentos!
