Hey guys an update from Grant and Gabby about Ruby:)
Dear friends and community,
Words cannot fully express the depth of our gratitude for the overwhelming love and support you've shown during this incredibly challenging time for our daughter, Ruby. Over three weeks ago, she was admitted to the ER for difficulty swallowing and muscle aches, and we quickly learned that her condition was more serious than we had initially thought. Watching her experience terrifying spasms and cyanotic episodes was one of the hardest moments of our lives.
After being transferred to the ICU, where we could only visit her briefly, she was heavily sedated while doctors worked tirelessly to diagnose her. They found several bacterial infections, including pneumonia and meningitis, which complicated her condition. We faced setbacks, including a distressing attempt to transport her that resulted in a collapsed lung, leading us back to the hospital we had just left.
After a long and painful journey, Ruby underwent a tracheotomy, which finally allowed her to start making progress. Now, as she begins her recovery, she is off sedation and undergoing daily assessments. We are so grateful that we can finally be by her side in the pediatric wing, where she is working hard to regain her strength and mobility.
Your prayers have lifted our spirits, and your generous donations have provided the support we desperately needed during this time. In moments when the road ahead seemed overwhelming, your kindness reminded us of the incredible power of community and love.

Queridos amigos y comunidad,
Las palabras no pueden expresar completamente la profundidad de nuestra gratitud por el amor y apoyo abrumadores que han mostrado durante este momento increíblemente difícil para nuestra hija Ruby. Hace más de tres semanas, ingresó en urgencias por dificultad para tragar y dolores musculares, y rápidamente supimos que su condición era más grave de lo que pensábamos inicialmente. Verla experimentar terroríficos espasmos y episodios cianóticos fue uno de los momentos más duros de nuestras vidas.
Después de ser trasladada a la UCI, donde solo pudimos visitarla brevemente, la sedaron fuertemente mientras los médicos trabajaban incansablemente para diagnosticarla. Encontraron varias infecciones bacterianas, incluidas neumonía y meningitis, que complicaron su condición. Enfrentamos contratiempos, incluido un angustioso intento de transportarla que resultó en un colapso pulmonar, lo que nos llevó de regreso al hospital del que acabábamos de salir.
Después de un largo y doloroso viaje, Ruby se sometió a una traqueotomía, lo que finalmente le permitió empezar a progresar. Ahora, mientras comienza su recuperación, ya no está sedada y se somete a evaluaciones diarias. Estamos muy agradecidos de poder finalmente estar a su lado en el ala de pediatría, donde está trabajando arduamente para recuperar su fuerza y movilidad.
Sus oraciones nos han levantado el ánimo y sus generosas donaciones han brindado el apoyo que necesitábamos desesperadamente durante este tiempo. En momentos en que el camino por delante parecía abrumador, su amabilidad nos recordó el increíble poder de la comunidad y el amor.
