A bouch of Alpacas on the road, those are South American Camels. Domesticated Animals in Peru. If you want to see them in wild you should visit Peru Hiking Trails. We have a lot hike that leads to One Mountain to the next. .

Today is Winter solstice in the Southern Hemisphere. As Peruvian today is the day When the Inca civilization used to start celebrating a New Andean year in Cusco-Peru. Happy New Andean Year and Father's day to all my friends around the world. Greetings and a huge hugs to you guys from The Land Of the Sun Qosqo or Cusco (Capital of the Inca Empire).

🤔Did you know that there are Only 6 colors in the rainbow Mountain of Peru?
🧐Cerro Colorado, locally called that stand for "Colored Mountain", Its colors are due to its mineralogical composition.

👉This is Winikunka ⛰🌈
It used to be covered in ice and temporarily receiving snow until the early 1990s.
Melting ice from global warming brought out its shinny colors.

🔴Red: Argillite (fine-grained sedimentary rock composed predominantly of indurated clay particles).
❇Green: Clay rich in ferromagnesian and copper oxide.
⭐mustard or golden color: calcareous sandstone rich in sulfur minerals.
☁️whitish: sandstone (quartz sand) and limestone.
🎀Pink or Fuchsia color: mix of red clay + mudslides (mud and sand).
🎵Purple: loam (mixture of clay and calcium carbonate) and silicates.
