⛳Inca World⛳
QHAPAQ ÑAN, THE GREAT INCA WAY

The Qhapaq Ñan is the high level of organization that the Incas possessed, understanding how through routes and roads they could expand over one of the steepest geographies in the world. Thanks to this "great Inca road" - as is its translation from Quechua to Spanish - the empire was able to exercise trade and administration of its domains.
This road network connected all of Tahuantinsuyo through the current territories of Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, passing through deserts, agricultural areas, mountain ranges and swamps. All routes started from Cusco. The most important of them is the one that was heading towards Quito, the current capital of Ecuador.
According to historians, the Qhapaq Ñan meant the basis of the Incaican political expansion, as it allowed for the rapid mobilization of armies and state officials. In addition, it facilitated the transport of valuable resources, such as metals, seashells spondylus, wood, coca leaves and textiles.
The drums, enclosures that were used as hostels and deposits, were laid along the paths to allow travelers to rest and store their belongings. They were generally rectangular and divided into several separate spaces. There were both of different sizes: the larger ones had residential environments, squares and deposits, and were used to host the Inca and his entourage. The smaller ones served as a pose for the chaskis, who were messengers from Tahuantinsuyo.
The construction of bridges was also decisive for the Qhapaq Ñan, because thanks to these, the Incas were able to cross slopes, rivers and, in general, an accidental Andean geography. Some of these platforms were built from stone and others from wood. There were also suspension bridges that were built with vegetable fibers, such as the case of the Q'eswachaka, considered the last Inca bridge still in force to date.
The Incas weren't the only ones who built roads to unite their territories. Many of the routes they used and integrated into their road system were built by the cultures that preceded them. According to the scholars, these roads were exclusively local and connected sacred centers or Wakas with small villages.
Some archaeological complexes of the Wari culture, such as Pikillaqta, for example, had important road systems. Another evidence of pre-incaic roads is found in the valley of Moche, on the north coast of Peru, and in Lima, where roads were built on the two margins of the Chillón river, in Pachakamaq, and in the valley of the Cañete river. These tracks were crossed by others reaching the Andean areas, and even the Amazon.

Did you know Chan Chan 🇵🇪 is an ancient pre-Columbian city located on the northern coast of Peru, near the present-day city of Trujillo. It was the capital of the Chimu kingdom, a powerful civilization that flourished between the 9th and 15th centuries before being conquered by the Incas.

• Chan Chan's main features:*

1. **Architecture:* Chan Chan is known for its large adobe walls that form intricate palaces, temples and squares. The walls are decorated with frills that represent geometric figures and elements of nature, such as waves and fish.

2. **Urban Structure:* The city is divided into ten citadeles or palaces, each of which served as a residence of the elite and administrative center. Each citadel has areas for ceremonies, storage and burials.

3. **Irrigation System:* Chan Chan featured an advanced system of canals and reservoirs that allowed irrigation of agricultural fields in a desert environment, demonstrating the engineering and organization of Chimu culture.

4. **Cultural Heritage: ** In 1986, Chan Chan was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO because of its historical and cultural significance. However, it is also on the Heritage List in jeopardy due to climate-induced erosion and human action.

Chan Chan is an impressive testament to the creativity and skill of the Chimu culture and provides valuable insight into life on the north coast of Peru before the arrival of the Incas.

Megalithic boulders of Sacsayhuaman (15th Century CE) in Cuzco. Peru.

Stones at Sacsayhuaman are so closely spaced that not a single sheet of paper can fit between boulders. Structure has been extremely effective in withstanding earthquakes and time.

It was described by Spanish as a fortress, site may have served combined needs of military, religious, and political might. Overlooking city of Cusco, site (possibly some of visible structure) predates Inca Empire, whose founding ruler, Pachacutec Inca, defeated a Ayarmaca Culture near here in 1438.

Three zig-zagging megalithic walls bounding Sacsayhuaman on two sides and many of other structures within the side are estimated to have been built around 1100 CE, but were added to by Incan Empire in 15th Century CE. Most of smaller buildings and top runs of stone on walls were torn down to create historic Spanish colonial city below. Foundations still exist of three towers, one of which was last strong hold of Manco Inca, a puppet ruler who turned and led a rebellion against Spanish in 1536 CE, four years after initial defeat and capture of Atahualpa Inca.

🚨NEW FINDINGS in Peru 🇵🇪 🇵🇪

🤯🇵🇪 THEY FOUND A GEOGLYPH THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN ELATED AT THE ERA OF THE NAZCA LINES.

In the valley of Virú, located in the region of La Libertad, a finding was made that has generated great surprise, because thanks to the use of a drone a strange figure several meters long was discovered on the ground of the place, where there are fields cultivated cranberries, stalks, asparagus, artichoke, among other agricultural products.

The director of the Valle de Virú Archaeological Project (PAVI), Feren Castillo Luján, the drone had to fly at a low altitude to comb the whole perimeter. "We had doubts that it was a geoglyph, but, comparing it with the geoglyph of Chupacigarro, in the Archaeological Complex of Caral, Lima region, both have the same construction technique to form a figure," explained the researcher from the Université de Rennes to the Andean agency.

From drone footage, researchers detected an area near a break where a geoglyph was observed, but not like those found in Nazca, but a different technique was used to make it. Castillo Luján pointed out that the geoglyph measures 40 x 30 meters and its real magnitude is seen from above. It's shape would be that of a falconid bird and is facing a mountain.

It is presumed that this drawing could be elaborated during the Mochica culture, because of the large amount of ceramic remains found in the spaces where the geoglyph has been drawn. Another detail that caught attention is that in several sectors near the geoglyph many water retention wells have been found, so it is not ruled out that they are associated.

Lake Titicaca (Bolivia-Peru) is the highest navigable lake in the world, with an altitude of 3,812 (3,812) meters above sea level. It is also one of the largest lakes in South America, with a surface area of 8,372 km2 (8 thousand 372).
There are also numerous islands in the lake, some of them inhabited by local communities. Among the best-known islands are the Island of the Sun and the Island of the Moon, considered sacred by the Incas.
Among other lakes in the world, at the bottom of the picture stand Lake Baikal (Russia) - 446 mts high and 1642 mts deep and Lake Superior (U.S.-Canada) - 183 mts high and 406 mts deep.
However the highest (non navigable) lake in the world has an estimated surface area of 3 ha and is located in the Tibetan Himalayas, 6,239 m above sea level, just over 2 km from the summit of Everest. It is Ridonglabo, a lake so remote that little is known because it is located near one of the less used routes to reach Everest.

This is something that needs to be share.
CARAL 5000a.C

1. Mesopotamia 3500 a.C.
2. Perú 3200 a.C.
3. Egipto 3000 a.C.
4. China 3000 a.C.
5. India 2600 a.C.
6. Creta 2000 a.C
7. México 1200 a.C.
