An spectacular pre Inca site PIKILLAQTA located South East Cusco City approximately 35 minutes driving from Cusco. It was an administrative center managed by WARI people around 800 AD, in it's splendor it was a white city because it's buildings were covered with gypsum also the evidence that the Incans were descendants of Two big civilizations Wari and Tiwanaku.

In the center of the city of Cusco and in various tourist spots you will find llamas and alpacas.

I thought llamas and alpacas are the same species, but with different names in English. However, it turns out that they are different species! According to our tour guide, the best way to distinguish llamas and alpacas is by looking at the length of their noses.

Llamas have longer noses, while alpacas have shorter noses. New discovery for me!
