Tour: 5 days Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu
Passengers: Diego, Tiffany and Denise
Guide: Jesus Valdivia
Departure: October 22nd 2024
I spent six weeks in Perú and this trip was the absolute highlight for following reasons:
- The inca trail is in itself very beautiful with crazy views along the whole path.
- The many inca sights along the trail are incredible.
- Our guide introduced us to the history along the way. The history was packaged in small portions, which is perfect for understanding and learning. All our questions were answered.
- The food (most of the time three dishes) was really good. We were surprised by the skills of the chef who cooked everything in a small tent on two stoves.
- The porters were very reliable and spread good vibes, even on days that were very tough for them.
- The organization was perfect from pickup to drop off.
- Last and most importantly, our guide Percy made the four days really fun and even paid attention to the smallest details. Just one example: he surprised us with Coca Cola Zero (which we are addicted to :D) on the last day at the Sungate after an exhausting hike to the top and with the first view at Machu Picchu.
All in all: I really recommend doing the inca trail and booking it with this company.

Excellent experience! Everything went perfectly and exceeded expectations. Guide Jorge Calderón very attentive and very dedicated in his explanations. Very cool every day, giving us the best recommendations.
The porters made the experience amazing. Delicious, hearty and super well-timed meals from the chef Nikomedes and his assistant Pedro. The camp was always spotless and ready so we could rest in the best way.
The service as a whole was amazing and made this trip a unique experience far superior to that imagined.
Super recommended
The trip was incredible. The company took care of everything, so all I had to worry about was taking one step at a time! Food was amazing - thanks to Claudio. Our guide, Ellios was incredible. He was very informative and willing to help with any questions or concerns. 10/10 would recommend
I had the pleasure of experiencing a tour with Jorge, and it exceeded all expectations! Jorge was incredibly informative, answering all of my questions with great detail.
I was a bit nervous to do the 1-day hike, but my fears were eased and it went really well!
Being the only person on the tour, I felt like I had a personalized experience that made the trip even more memorable. I highly recommend this company for anyone looking for an insightful and engaging tour!
Machu Picchu was sensational and Jorge helped to make this experience happen. 10/10!
Tour: 1 day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu
Passengers: Nicolas Jean Gilles
Guide: Jorge Calderon
Departure: September 28th 2024
An unforgettable, unique experience—a challenge I successfully completed.
Stunning landscapes, going through all the seasons of the year in just five days. We were lucky to have great weather, with plenty of sunshine perfect for capturing the best photos.
We didn’t have to worry about food or accommodations because our wonderful hosts took care of everything. Rico, the most talented chef, amazed us each time with new dishes, and on the last day, he celebrated us with a cake. Miguel - the most beautiful accommodation and the best playlist I’ve ever heard, plus the coffee experience was incredible.
And last but not least, our guide, Percy. An extraordinary person who ensured everything went perfectly and was truly exceptional. He was attentive to everyone's needs and always ready to help, making us feel safe. A man genuinely passionate about his history and roots, he shared the most beautiful stories about the places we visited, inspiring love and appreciation for Peruvians. This experience would not have been the same without him!
Thank you for your kindness, Percy!
We were a group of nine people with different nationalities and personalities, but we blended well and had a great time together! I’m very happy I chose this trip, which not only gave me wonderful experiences and memories but also helped me gain new friends I hope to see again in the future.

Tour: 5 day Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu
Passengers: Alexandru, Andrei, Corina, Ancuta, Enrico, Rosemarie, Martin, Simon, & Jenica
Guide: Percy Lanza
Departure date: September 18th 2024
This trip is by far the most memorable trip we’ve ever had with the help of our awesome guides Jorge & Santiago, cook Sebastien, & horseman Genaro. Jorge and Santiago were very helpful and shared a lot of their knowledge about the culture and traditions of Peruvians. They made sure everything’s in place from start to finish. We would definitely book with Inka Trail Expedition if we happen to go back someday. Sebastien is very good at what he does as well. It was always pleasant seeing him smiling as he welcomes us with authentic Peruvian cuisine. Genaro is a plus too. He’s the backbone of our trip. Thank you all and hope to see you again someday!

Paucartambo - Three Golden Crosses
Midnight we headed towards the Three Golden Crosses camp, 40 km north of Paucartambo, which is situated on the edge of the Andes mountain range at an elevation of 12,100 feet. From Three Crosses, there is a steep drop into the Amazon basin, which means the view is incredible. It is famous for its sunrise in the months of June and July due to the special weather conditions that give optical illusions.
At 05:30 a.m. We wait for the fabulous sunrise, a unique natural phenomenon in the area, entry point to the Manu National Park.
