Important Announcement: Salkantay Route Closure 😟

The Regional Government of Cusco has issued a warning regarding the Salkantay Trek, as recent evaluations have identified landslides and hazardous conditions between Santa Teresa and Collpapampa. Due to increased rainfall and safety risks, it is strongly recommended to avoid entering this route.

Let's follow the warning and wait for the authorities to sort this problem as soon as possible.

The Inca Trail is temporarily closed! 👀😳
The closure is in effect from March 1 to March 15, 2025, due to intense rainfall in the Cusco region, which has caused landslides and instability along certain sections of the trail. This measure is taken to protect the physical safety and well-being of visitors and operators. Authorities are conducting maintenance and coordination efforts to evaluate and restore affected paths.
