📅Every June 24th, Cusco comes alive with the vibrant celebration of Inti Raymi, the ancient Incan festival dedicated to the Sun God, Apu Inti. On this special day, the city honors the sun and pleads for its return as it is when the sun is farthest from the earth. 🌎 🇵🇪 This incredible event survived the Spanish invasion and continues to captivate locals and visitors alike. 🗺️

🏞️ The festivities begin at Qorikancha with dances and songs, offering a tribute to the Sun God, and continue to the Plaza de Armas. The most important part of the ceremony takes place at Sacsayhuamán. Here, the Inca pay their respects with prayers in Quechua and a symbolic camelid sacrifice a shaman performs to predict the coming year’s prosperity.

💃🏼Witness more than 800 performers in their traditional clothing bring history to life through dances, performances, and praises. This theatrical spectacle, filled with mysticism and spirituality, offers a glimpse into the rich Incan heritage.

Kuelap abre sus puertas!

El atractivo turístico más importante de la región Amazonas es sin lugar a dudas nuestro majestuoso e imponente “Kuélap”, o Cuélap, según el portal de turismo (2019) cámara nacional de turismo del Perú. Un sitio arqueológico pre inca ubicado en los Andes
nororientales del Perú, en la provincia de Luya de la región Amazonas, fue construido por la cultura arqueológica Chachapoyas.
Forma un conjunto arquitectónico de piedra de grandes dimensiones caracterizado por su condición monumental, con una gran plataforma artificial, orientada de sur a norte, asentada sobre la cresta de la roca calcárea en la cima del Cerro Barreta (3,000 msnm.). La plataforma se extiende a lo largo de casi 600 metros y tiene como perímetro una muralla que en algunos puntos alcanza
19 metros de altura.
Se estima que su construcción debió iniciarse hacia el siglo XI coincidiendo con el periodo de florecimiento de la cultura Chachapoyas, y su ocupación debió terminar hacia mitades del siglo XVI. Sus colosales murallas y su compleja arquitectura interior son evidencias de su función como un conjunto poblacional
bien organizado, que incluye recintos de índole administrativa, religiosa, espacios ceremoniales y de residencia permanente.

The most important tourist attraction in the Amazon region is without a doubt our majestic and imposing "Kuélap", or Cuélap, according to the tourism portal (2019) of the Peruvian National Chamber of Tourism. A pre-Inca archaeological site located in the Andes
northeastern Peru, in the Luya province of the Amazonas region, was built by the Chachapoyas archaeological culture.
It forms a large stone architectural complex characterized by its monumental condition, with a large artificial platform, oriented from south to north, settled on the crest of the calcareous rock at the top of Cerro Barreta (3,000 masl). The platform extends over almost 600 meters and has a wall as its perimeter that in some points reaches
19 meters high.
It is estimated that its construction must have begun around the 11th century, coinciding with the flowering period of the Chachapoyas culture, and its occupation must have ended around the middle of the 16th century. Its colossal walls and its complex interior architecture are evidence of its function as a population group
well organized, which includes enclosures of an administrative and religious nature, ceremonial spaces and permanent residence.
