If you look closely you'll see that there are 2 different kinds of birds in this branch 👀

The Large-billed tern (Phaetusa simplex) is distinguishable from the Yellow-billed tern (Sternula superciliaris) mainly because the first has a full black crown and the second one has a white forehead patch that interrupts its black crown 👨‍🏫

Can you spot them apart now?
The magic is in the details ✨

The Lettered Aracari (Pteroglossus inscriptus) is a bird from the Amazon jungle that measures up to 14.5 inches. The male has a black head and yellow chest, with a beak lined with black stripes and blue skin around the eyes. The female differs from the male by having brown skin below the eyes and part of the throat, unlike the males which are black. It feeds on insects, fruits, and eggs.

Great white egret (Casmerodius albus)

You can find this species of egret in the lower parts of lakes, lagoons and rivers of Pacaya Samiria.

It is characterized by flying with its neck drawn up and its legs stretched out.

It measures about 85 centimeters in length and is completely white with a yellow beak and black legs (unlike the snowy egret, which is smaller and has a black beak and yellow legs).

It feeds on fish, toads, shrimp, insects and even small rodents.

It builds its nests in trees, where it lays 2 to 3 bluish-green eggs.

And you, have you seen one in the wild? 👀

What we see depends mainly on what we look for... In the same field the farmer will notice the crop, the geologists the fossils, botanists the flowers, artists the colouring, sportmen the cover for the game.

Though we may all look at the same things, it does not all follow that we should see them

Sunset in the Amazon 🌅

In the heart of the Amazon, every sunset is a promise of adventure. 🌿🌳 The sun slowly slides behind the towering trees, painting the sky with hues of fire and gold. In these moments, the jungle comes alive in a magical and mysterious way, inviting us to explore its depths and uncover its secrets.

The beauty of nature reminds us how small we are and how vast the world around us is. Here, among the whispers of rivers and the songs of birds, we find inspiration to keep moving forward, to dream bigger, and to embrace every moment with passion and courage.

May this sunset in the Amazon inspire us all to seek adventure, to connect with nature, and to live each day with a heart full of wonder and gratitude. 🌄

The locally called Lupuna (Ceiba pentandra) is a tree from the Malvaceae family that can measure more than 60 meters 🙊

In our expeditions there are always chance to see these trees, but only a few dare to climb it 💪

Would you try? 😲

The Amazon Rainforest is the world’s richest and most-varied biological reservoir, containing several million species of insects, plants, birds, and other forms of life, many still unrecorded by science. The luxuriant vegetation encompasses a wide variety of trees, including many species of myrtle, laurel, palm, and acacia, as well as rosewood, Brazil nut, and rubber tree. Excellent timber is furnished by the mahogany and the Amazonian cedar. Major wildlife includes jaguar, manatee, tapir, red deer, capybara and many other types of rodents, and several types of monkeys.
