Due to Peace and Tranquility considerations, we prefer to limit the amount of people for accommodations. At present, we are able to accommodate groups from 2 to 6 persons. There is more than ample open space for camping, both rustic and close to amenities, catering to larger groups. We have a private reservoir fed by water from roots of Higueron trees all year long. Because the water is naturally filtered it is crystal clear, cool and very tasty. It is again filtered prior to storage and does not need treatments of any nature. Included are meals prepared using natural and organic products.�

Escalera begins just below 5700 feet msl, is 5777 feet and rises to just under 7800 feet. It does not appear to have a 2100 feet difference when you look from the house but when looking from above the difference is breath taking. A trip up the Gallo, the mountain above the waterfall, will give the true perspective of the massiveness of the Escalera area. From this vantage point one can see the shape of Escalera. It is a large bowl or closed canyon with only one reasonable entrance and exit. In this area and above in the rocks is where the Puma lives. There are two known areas where we know the puma has its home. One is on the left side of the little pyramid hill located directly in the middle of the entrance. This area is just a short distance from the housing area where we live. At times during the night, one might hear the cry of a Puma. No Puma has been seen near the building area since 2006.
