🎶 The "Day of Creole Song" is celebrated every October 31st in Peru, it's an important festivity that pays homage to Creole music, featuring styles such as the Peruvian waltz, marinera, and festejo, which are iconic to Peruvian music culture.

The African slaves were often given less desirable cuts of meat, such as beef hearts. Ingeniously, they marinated it in spices, peppers, and vinegar before grilling it over coals, giving rise to the anticucho as we know it today.

Do you know maca? 🤔

🥔 Maca is a native plant from the Andes, primarily grown in high-altitude regions of Peru, at over 3,500 meters above sea level. The most commonly used part of maca is its root, which has a shape similar to a radish or turnip.

💡 In Andean tradition, maca has been used for centuries for its medicinal and nutritional properties. It is known for its benefits in boosting energy, improving physical endurance, balancing hormones, and supporting sexual and reproductive health. Maca is also considered an "adaptogen," meaning it can help the body better adapt to stress.

💪 There are different types of maca, which vary in color (yellow, red, black, etc.). Additionally, it is rich in nutrients like vitamins, minerals, proteins, and antioxidants, making it a real superfood in the modern diet. It can be consumed in powder form, capsules, or in food products like smoothies or energy bars.
