Guacho ring tournament at estancia Santa Susana. these Argentine cowboys have very precise skills even at great speed with their horses. Here they are catching rings with a ringpen and then they can give the rings to the girls. #ringtournament #guachos #argentina
We came to the small fishing town of Pucusana to get my second COVID vaccination and they told us to come back at 2pm. So we went for a stroll and met the local fishermen Papaya, who took us on his boat for an hour to catch some fish. #pucusana #artesanal #fishing
On the panamerican highway, the road that goes from North America all the way to Ushuaia at the most southern tip of Argentina. #roadtrip #atacamadesert #peru #ica #paracas
Ok, so, i will never forget this moment. Let me tell you a little story and I hope you will enjoy this as much as I did. Only a few miles away from our house, crossing the panamerican highway, tucked away between the hills of banana trees and eucaliptos we got to Claudia’s house. Claudia is my friend, she is also a Peruvian-Belgian, loves nature (a marine biologist), she is the mother of two wild twin girls ( I mean this in a positive way), the wife of Guillermo but what mostly defines her is her love and connection with horses. Claudia takes care of her and other people’s horses, she rides them, dances with and around them. For her daughters the same counts and when i entered her gate the day before yesterday, one of her daughters was standing up on the back of one of the horses while it was running around the garden.. Exciting. I was there with another friend Koki, who’s a professional mountain guide and birdwatcher and he was decided to check one of his missing birds from his list today. Two other ladies from Lima with a young girl also showed up for our excursion. After getting our horses together and under the wings of Claudia and her two 8 year old twin girls we left the stables and took off for our mission: getting to the higher hills where the mist hit and turn the landscape once of sudden green with fields of fresh yellow Amancaes flowers... and what a ride, my horse, as I learned on the way, named Conquistador was pretty much a granddad, but triple world champion Peruvian stepping horse and he still had it in him! He walked, talked and watched the landscape change drastically until we got to the magical places and there it was, and then this surprise!!!:
Feel this vibe! We are sharing with you a scene of love for Peru. Hundreds of Peruvian surfers and SUP's paddled out today to the Marine boat in front of the coast of Lima where they song this historical song written by Augusto Polo Campos that represents and stands for union between the people of the coast, the Andes and Amazon and a strong proud for our beautiful country. For many people it's like a second national hymn.
Text:
Cuando despiertan mis ojos y veo
Que sigo viviendo contigo Perú
Emocionado doy gracias al cielo
Por darme la vida contigo Perú
Eres muy grande
Y siempre lo seguirás siendo
Pues todos estamos contigo Perú
Sobre mi pecho
Yo llevo tus colores
Y están mis amores contigo Perú
Somos tus hijos
Y nos uniremos
Y asi triunfaremos contigo Perú
Unida la costa
Unida la sierra
Unida la selva
Contigo Perú
Unido el trabajo
Unido el deporte
Unidos el norte, el centro y el sur
A triunfar Peruanos

At the Sacred Valley of the Inca’s, our base camp is a house surrounded with eucalyptus trees where the kids can explore free my. Nando and Raffaela met the local boy called Neymar who wanted to show them his favorite game. It became a absolute favorite (for young and old) called ‘mata-chola’. All you need to set up the game is an old sock, a pole and a pice of rope. It can be played with a varied number of kids in 2 teams, the idea is to hit the sock with your hand and the team that makes the rope curl up around the pole in their direction makes a point. #matachola #localgame #travelwithchildren #kidswhoexplore #familytravel #peru #traveltoperu #adventuretravel @pablomorenoromani @romanipablo
