One of the most striking features of the Santa Catalina Monastery is its brightly colored buildings that made this convent memorable and colorful.

The monastery was originally painted in blue and white, but over time additional colors were added, including reds, oranges, and yellows. And let’s not forget about its architectural style, which blends together Spanish, Moorish, and indigenous influences. The result is a unique and visually stunning complex that is unlike any other in the world.

It is still functioning as a religious complex as well as a tourist site and is a must-visit attraction for anyone traveling to Arequipa.
