HERE IN THE AMAZON FROGS LIVE IN THE TREES!
In most of the world, frogs are only found in ponds, lakes, rivers and streams. But here in the Amazon rainforest, frogs can spend their entire lives in the trees! Tree frogs are able to take advantage of how plants known as bromeliads store miniature reservoirs of water, where they can shelter, hunt for insects and reproduce.

SEE THE WORLD’S BIGGEST RODENT!

A sign of the good health of the Amazon rainforest we work to protect from our jungle lodge is the abundant capybara population. Capybaras are the world’s largest rodents, and can weigh up to 66 kilograms (145 pounds). They can be seen on the riverbanks by our guests during the guided jungle trips we offer.

WAKE UP to the sounds of the jungle!
In the protected Amazon rainforest surrounding our eco-lodge, eight species of monkeys can be spotted by our guests during the guided excursions included as part of our all-inclusive jungle trips. One of these is the red howler monkey, although this species is usually heard before it’s seen, because its unique call can travel up to two kilometers through the rainforest canopy.
