TROBRIAND island, one of the 1000s tribes that make PNG one unique nation mourns together with the rest of Milne Bay Province and PNG for the late Grand Chief Sir Michael Thomas Somare, the founder and father of the nation, here at the Alotau Town, the capital of Milne Bay Province.

TROBRIAND island one more time present to the late father Somare a tribute of respect the traditional way of mourning when a Chief dies. This also marks Kiriwina cultural heritage and identity passed down from generation to generation.

Traditional Chanting @ Tewatewa Island

Traditional chanting at Tewatewa island is a lyric composed and sung meaningfully by locals on the island whenever they pull a sailing canoe ashore.This is a highly followed traditional norm practiced ritually usually when sailing canoes return from their long expeditions such as famous Milne Bay Kula Voyages. They also do this to visitors who may come a long way either by sailing canoes or banana boats.

Piyoli Dive site

Guga people at Huhuna has finally launched a tourist dive site called Piyoli which is one of the unique site for scuba diving, snorkeling, reefing and fishing sports etc.. Contact us if you want to be there at one time when your budget is sufficient. It's just $75 for a full day tour and a $100 for over night.
