There are 2 lots of trekkers tackling the Famous Kokoda Trail to mark ANZAC Day, 25th April.
For those not clear, ANZAC stands for Australia and New Zealand Army Corps, and stems from the WWI when troops from both countries fought together on the beaches and cliffs of Gallipoli in Turkey over 100 years ago. There was born the ANZAC Spirit that still remains entrenched in the hearts and minds of many.
So much so that these adventurers tackle the KOKODA in memory of the Australians and Papua New Guineans who fought along that bloody track in 1942.
What a great way to salute those brave men.
Thank you Kokoda Spirit.
