Painter
Job Summary
The primary responsibility is for painting both interior and exterior surfaces of hotel buildings including furniture. The Painter must be able to prepare, clean and tape all jobsites, remove old painting coats, mix different paints to obtain desired colors or consistency and apply various finishes to buildings, structures, etc.

Groundsman
Job Summary
Responsible for the general maintenance, upkeep and cleaning of grounds, gardens and water features in and around the hotel premises

The Stanley Hotel and Suites is looking for a Housekeeping/Laundry Manager to join our award-winning team!

Housekeeping/Laundry Manager

Under the guidance of the Executive Houskeeper assist with the Management of the housekeeping and laundry operations of the hotel to ensure the highest standards of quality and service for our guests.

Key criteria includes:-
• At least 5 years as a Housekeeping/Laundry in a five-star hotel
• International Hotel chain experience in a large hotel
• Must have experience using Opera
• Flexible hands on approach
• Problem solving ability

Essential skills and experience
1. Monitor Laundry personnel to ensure internal guests receive prompt and courteous service
2. Maintain all standards of hygiene, safe use of machinery and storage.
3. On Board, Train, orientate and correct employees to maintain the standards and quality of work.
4. Appraise appearance, discipline and efficiency of staff under direct supervision and initiate immediate remedial action if necessary
5. Maintain appropriate stock levels of chemicals and equipment in consultation with the Executive Housekeeper
6. Ensure team are trained in all aspects of chemical handling and use of laundry equipment.
7. Monitor and maintain all equipment
8. Inspect cleanliness of Laundry other storage areas.
9. Conducts regular department meetings and follows up on progress of agenda items covered in regular meetings
10. Ensures Housekeeping personnel are familiar with in house facilities and services.
11. Maintains a steady flow of communication to the Executive Housekeeper on all matters affecting the Laundry Department
12. Manage and control all lost and found property as requested
13. Supervises outside contractors to ensure contractual compliance
14. Ensures that Laundry supplies is under control
15. Work with Director of Finance in the preparation and management of the Department’s budget
16. Oversees the efficient operation of laundry and uniform sections.
17. Assists with the preparation of efficient work schedule for Laundry Staff, arranging holidays and vacation, taking into consideration project occupancy and forecasts and any large group movements.
