NEW OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES DURING COVID-19 LOCKDOWN
Below are some of the new measures ICA has endorsed for all clients in the National Capital District to take note of, observe and put into practical use during this COVID-19 Lockdown period.
1. ICA Client Service Counters at the Central Government Office (CGO) will open daily from 8:30 am to 11:30 am
2. Passport Office at Koitachi Haus will be closed and officers will operate out from CGO Client Service counters. New passport lodgement days will be on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays only. Passport Collections will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays only. Clients must make appointments via email [email protected] before coming in for collection.
3. Maximum five (5) people will be allowed entry at any one time.
4. Wearing of facemasks is mandatory. Clients must avail themselves for temperature check and hand sanitize at the entrance.
5. All immigration and citizenship queries must be made through email [email protected] or telephone 3276 126
* Extension, APEC and PR
- All normal Extensions, Transfer and Change of Status applications must be lodged over the counter with applications and passports.
- All Short Term Visas must be emailed through [email protected] to facilitate a one off extension.
- All ABTC applications and queries are to be channelled through [email protected]
- All Permanent Resident applications are to be lodged over the counter for assessment and processing and queries to be directed through [email protected] for updates and responses.
* Visa Management
- All new entry applications are to be emailed through to [email protected] If the files are too big, you must make appointments via email to lodge in person.
- All Overseas Missions or Posts are to issue visas only based on sighting of the Controller’s approval letter and certified medical reports from reputable hospitals.
* Citizenship
- All citizenship applications, queries and updates are to be emailed to [email protected]
* Payment of Migration Service Fees and Charges
- The eVisa online facility is active and available for eligible non-citizens to apply for short term visas. All the visa classes in this facility remain non-auto grant and a decision will be made in 21 days. Approval is made by way of a formal letter by the Controller and certified medical reports from reputable hospitals from host countries.
- The Online Payment Gateway is currently active and all MSF payment must be made directly through ICA website www.ica.gov.pg or though EFTPOS at the authorised cash office.
