On March 31 DENR and its partners will mobilize volunteers in a simultaneous clean-up activity of the Pasig River System and its tributaries to help control pollution caused by esteros and creeks feeding into Manila Bay and the Pasig River System.

NYC will be mobilizing 100 volunteers to join the event. Tentatively, the venue of the clean-up activity for NYC volunteers, is Mandaluyong City. Registration on-site starts at 5:00AM. Exact venue will be provided Tomorrow afternoon, after the final ocular inspection of the venue by the organizers.

Please note that this is a purely a voluntary activity, although the DENR and its partners will be providing some cleaning implements and light morning snacks, volunteers are requested to bring sun protective gears, gloves/boots, refillable water tumbler, snacks, and personal medicines. NYC volunteers are not required (and are not encouraged) to wade or dip into the esteros/creeks subject of the clean-up activity.
