TRAVEL ADVISORY
October 20, 2022

For passengers to the Philippines, a new electronic ARRIVAL CARD (“eARRIVAL CARD”) has officially replaced the One Health Pass (OHP) as an entry requirement for arrival in the Philippines.

The new eARRIVAL CARD is easier to fill out and requires less information, in line with a decision by Philippine health authorities to simplify the arrival process.

Passengers are encouraged to fill out the eARRIVAL CARD within 72 hours prior to departure from your origin country. In the event that passengers are unable to do so, personnel from the Philippine Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ) and airport staff will assist you in completing and uploading the eARRIVAL CARD upon your arrival in the Philippines.

Cebu Pacific Advisory #3

CEB Flight Cancellations – August 6 to 20, 2021

As of 2:30PM, July 31, 2021

The Philippine government, through the Inter Agency Task Force (IATF) Resolution No 130-A, has placed the NCR Plus Area under the more stringent General Community Quarantine with Heightened Restrictions (GCQ-HR) until August 5, 2021, and on a two-week Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) from August 6 to 20, 2021.

Only essential travel will be allowed until August 20, 2021.

Following this resolution, Cebu Pacific and Cebgo will cancel the following flights from August 6 to 20, 2021:

Affected passengers have been informed via contact details provided in the booking. They may select their preferred option through the Manage Booking portal on the Cebu Pacific website (http://bit.ly/CEBmanageflight) until 30 days from date of departure:

📌Rebook
Rebook for travel within 60 days no additional cost, following CEB’s permanent removal of change fees. Fare difference waived.

📌Travel Fund
Store the amount in a virtual CEB wallet valid for two (2) years and use this to either book a new flight or pay for add-ons (e.g. baggage allowance, seat selection, etc.)

📌Refund The process may take up to two (2) months from the date of request.
CEB will continue to operate other domestic and international flights as scheduled.

This is a developing situation. Some flight changes may take place in the coming days.

Passengers are advised to update their contact details via bit.ly/CEBUpdateInfo to receive email notifications on flight reminders and updates.

Before going to the airport, passengers are advised to check the travel requirements, safety protocols, and frequently asked questions (FAQs) on the CEB website: bit.ly/CEBFaqs****

DOT welcomes the approval of IATF uniform travel protocols

The Department of Tourism (DOT) is for the safe reopening of tourist destinations as this allows us to restart our economy and help our tourism workers regain their jobs. The Department therefore welcomes the approval of uniform travel protocols for all local government units (LGUs) by the Inter-Agency Task Force on the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-MEID) to facilitate travel movement and promote local tourism.

The DOT deems the simplification of requirements as vital in encouraging domestic travel and helping in the speedy recovery of Philippine tourism.

The DOT also defers to the decision of LGUs to require tests before travel. For those requiring RT-PCR tests, the subsidized program in partnership with the University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH) and the Philippine Children’s Medical Center (PCMC) will help reduce costs and encourage travel.

Meanwhile, the DOT reminds tourists and stakeholders of the need to still strictly ensure minimum health and safety protocols such as wearing of a mask and face shield, physical distancing, hand sanitizing, and booking or operating in DOT-accredited establishments, among others to protect both the tourists, tourism workers and the residents of host communities.

Relatedly, the DOT will continue to develop minimum health and safety guidelines for the tourism sub-sectors to prepare LGUs in the safe reopening of their destinations.
