Bethabarah is a place mentioned in the Bible, located near the Jordan River in the ancient region of Israel. The name Bethabarah means "house of crossing" or "place of the ford," and it is believed to have been a significant crossing point on the Jordan River.
In the Old Testament, Bethabarah is mentioned as the place where the prophet Elijah crossed the Jordan River before being taken up into heaven. It is also referred to as the place where the Israelites crossed the river under the leadership of Joshua, as they entered the Promised Land.
