Bohol Travel Requirements and Guidelines | COVID-19 New Normal 🛣️⛰️🚗
Travelers from the Philippines can once again discover Bohol’s countryside attractions and beaches. But with the threat of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) has announced a set of guidelines and tourist requirements to comply with before you make your trip to the home of the Chocolate Hills.
📌 Who is allowed to go to Bohol?
▪️ Bohol is open to residents and domestic tourists as long as they have a valid negative RT-PCR test or Saliva RT-PCR test from the Philippine Red Cross result taken no earlier than 72 hours prior to the date of travel and fulfill the necessary requirements of the province. Starting October 25, 2021, fully vaccinated individuals are exempted from presenting a negative COVID-19 test result.
▪️ They should instead present a Vaccination Certificate generated from vaxcert.doh.gov.ph. On October 30, it was announced that the province will also be temporarily accepting vaccination cards in lieu of the vaccination certificate. It will continue to do so until the DOH website (vaxcert.doh.gov.ph) is fully operational. On December 19, 2021, it was announced that the local government is temporarily suspending the S-Pass Travel Coordination Permit (TCP) requirement.
▪️ Children four (4) years and below are exempted from the testing requirement.
📌 What are the entry points in Bohol?
▪️ Domestic tourists can only enter Bohol via the Bohol-Panglao International Airport (BPIA) or other ports of entry like Tagbilaran City Port.
📌 What travel requirements do you need to prepare:
▪️ Confirmed hotel booking
▪️ Secure a negative RT-PCR test result (for Unvaccinated or Partially Vaccinated)
▪️ Get a Vaccination Certificate (for Fully Vaccinated)
▪️ Book with DOT-accredited tour operators only
