✅Study permits issued to graduate degree students - 𝟕𝟑,𝟐𝟖𝟐
✅Study permits issued to kindergarten to grade 12 applicants (PAL/TAL-exempt) - 𝟕𝟐,𝟐𝟎𝟎
✅Study permits issued to all other PAL/TAL-exempt applicants - 𝟒𝟖,𝟓𝟐𝟒
✅Study permits issued to remaining PAL/TAL-required cohorts - 𝟐𝟒𝟐,𝟗𝟗𝟒

Effective January 21, 2025, only spouses of certain international students and foreign workers will be able to apply for a family OWP.
Family OWPs will be limited to spouses of international students who are enrolled in
🔘master’s programs that are 16 months or longer
🔘doctoral programs, or
🔘select professional and eligible programs (below)
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS, DMD)
Bachelor of Law or Juris Doctor (LLB, JD, BCL)
Doctor of Medicine (MD)
Doctor of Optometry (OD)
Pharmacy (PharmD, BS, BSc, BPharm)
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN, BSN)
Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNSc)
Bachelor of Nursing (BN)
Bachelor of Education (BEd)
Bachelor of Engineering (BEng, BE, BASc)
Family OWPs will also be limited to spouses of foreign workers who are employed in
🔘TEER 0 or 1 occupations, or
🔘select TEER 2 or 3 occupations in sectors with labour shortages or linked to government priorities
🔘These include occupations in the natural and applied sciences, construction, health care, natural resources, education, sports and military sectors. The full list will be available on January 21, 2025.
In addition, the foreign worker must also have at least 16 months remaining on their work permit at the time when their spouse applies for the OWP. Dependent children of foreign workers will no longer be eligible.

New International Student Program Regulations Take Effect Today- CANADA
✅️Eligible students can now work up to 24 hours per week off campus (from 20 hours per week) while their classes are in session;
✅️International students must apply and be approved for a NEW study permit before changing designated learning institution(DLI).

🍀If you graduated from a college program:
Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) - 5

✅If you submit your study permit application on or after November 1, 2024
🍁In addition to the above mentioned CLB, You must graduate in an eligible field of study.
🍀The fields of study are divided into 5 broad categories:
☑️agriculture and agri-food
☑️healthcare
☑️science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM)
☑️trade
☑️transport

IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. There are 966 field of study categories that are eligible for PGWP.
2. If you apply for a PGWP as a graduate from a PGWP eligible flight school, you only need to meet the current eligibility criteria (even after November 1, 2024).
This means that the new eligibility requirements do not apply to you.
3. Finish your studies
