We wanted our first post/feature to be special, something that would showcase the diversity of Baguio and the creativity of Filipinos.

In the Picture is Tito Noel or Green soldier. Green Soldier is a Living Statue or Mime Statue. This kind of act started in France and was then called tableau vivant meaning ‘Living Picture’; models or actors usually in costumes are stationary and silent.

This kind of activity or ‘profession’ could be considered as a very creative and impressive act, because of the different forms of art and complicated techniques that the models or actors are using.

In the City of Baguio, Green Soldier is just one of the many Living Statues, they are usually performing at Session Road during the Sunday Market. If you happen to see them perform live, don’t forget to give them a little donation, for it is their work after all.

Let’s support our local artists! Let's support Baguio!
