PMA IS NOW OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!!!

As the City of Baguio declares the COVID-19 Alert Level 1 and based on the series of research studies and meetings conducted by the PMA COVID-19 Prevention and Action Group (CPAG), the PMA will now open to tourists and cadetsā€™ visitors effective today, Thursday, 24 March 2022.

The said opening of PMA to tourists and cadetsā€™ visitors aims to allow the public to see the different tourist spots inside PMA, appreciate its history and its role in producing future officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and also boost the welfare and morale of the cadets in seeing and be able to interact with their families and loved ones. Furthermore, PMA believes that the support and guidance of parents, relatives, and foster parents is a positive force in motivating the cadets to meet PMA Education and Training standards.

The following are the entry guidelines of the Command for the entry of PMA tourists and CCAFP parents, relatives, and foster families:

FOR REGULAR TOURISTS

a. Regular tourists may be allowed to enter from 0830H-1500H (Monday to Sunday);

b. Fully-vaccinated individuals are required to present their vaccination ID or certificate;

c. Not fully-vaccinated individuals are required to submit a negative RT-PCR test result taken within 72 hours prior to entry;

d. Children below 12 years old may be allowed entry without presenting any test result as long as they are accompanied by adults;

e. PMA will limit the acceptance of tourists to a maximum of 300 persons a day shall be established;

f. Aforementioned visitors shall abide by camp regulations and health protocols;

g. Said visitors are unauthorized to enter residential areas, PMA administrative buildings, and other designated restricted areas; and

h. Regular tourists are unauthorized to engage with cadets, including taking pictures.

FOR CADETSā€™ VISITORS (PARENTS, RELATIVES, AND FOSTER PARENTS)

a. Cadet Corps Armed Forces of the Philippines (CCAFP) visitors (parents, relatives, and foster families) in coordination with Tactics Group may engage with cadets on designated venues and schedules;

b. Fully-vaccinated cadetsā€™ visitors are required to present a negative antigen test result taken within 24 hours prior to entry;

c. Not fully-vaccinated visitors are required to present a negative RT-PCR test taken within 72 hours prior entry; and,

d. Children below 12 years old may be allowed entry without presenting any test result as long as they are accompanied by adults.

All tourists and guests from outside Baguio City shall still need to abide the guidelines set forth by the City of Baguio in entering the City, such as registration to Baguio Visita website (https://visita.baguio.gov.ph) and passing to the triage area. Moreover, tourists and Cadetsā€™ visitors may schedule their visit to PMA by registering at https://bisita.pma.edu.ph.

Notably, based on the guidelines above, all tourists are not allowed to interact with the cadets except for those considered as cadetsā€™ visitors who are duly authorized by the Headquarters Tactics Group (HTG). Likewise, all visitors who will interact with the Cadets must present a negative antigen test result taken within 24 hours prior to entry for fully vaccinated.

The safety and protection of the CCAFP, the PMA community, and the visitors requires everyone to maintain the observance of Minimum Public Health Standards (MPHS), such as wearing masks and frequent disinfection. PMA will also designate marshals and information signage on limits, directions, and health protocols.

In addition, all visitors are reminded that PMA observes ā€œCarless Dayā€ during Tuesday and Thursday from 0800H-1700H, which means that visitors on the said days will park their cars in the designated parking areas inside PMA and will have to walk or ride a bike in roaming around the PMA vicinity.
