During a recent inspection by Camp John Hay patrol guards, it was discovered that the entire RED TRAIL and a portion of the BLUE TRAIL had been transformed into makeshift race tracks. Colored ribbons were attached to tree branches and trunks using gun tackers and thumbtacks, causing damage to the trees. Additionally, excavations were found at various humps and turns along the track.

These modifications were made without the permission of the John Hay Management Corporation (JHMC) and are considered unauthorized. Consequently, the Camp John Hay trails will be TEMPORARILY CLOSED to allow JHMC to conduct a comprehensive assessment and determine how to restore the affected areas.

Temporary closure of SESSION ROAD to vehicular traffic on January 30, 2024 (Thursday) from 11:00 AM until further notice to pave way for the Chinese Lunar New Year Grand Colorful Parade.

Vehicles are not allowed to park along the closed road areas starting 8:00 AM for the installation of rope stand and “No Parking” signages along the parade route. Roads closed to vehicular traffic until the end of the parade activity are:

Both lanes of Session Road;
Both lanes of Magsaysay Avenue;
One lane of Harrison Road; and,
Jose Abad Santos Drive and Lake Drive.
