Why P350 is almost always an unfair rate?
No offense sa mga naghahanap ng mura, cheap, low-budget accommodations. Gustuhin man ng owners na makapag offer ng “budget-friendly” accommodation, it has to be 2-way BUDGET-FRIENDLY to you as guests and to owners as well.
Consider these expenses and costs that factors on rates:
WATER COST: P50-70 pesos per drum (water delivery). Hindi po libre ang tubig sa Baguio, 2 - 3 times a week lang po ang rasyon ng tubig na binabayaran monthly, so owners have to buy from water deliveries, so karamihan sa mga transient houses sa Baguio have to buy from water deliveries para may pampaligo o pang hugas ng ano si guests.
ELECTRIC BILL: Ilaw, TV, water/shower heater, electric fans, and other electric appliances, charging ng laptop, phones and gadgets, electric stove or gasul (1,000+ pesos) at sa Baguio ka pa talaga nakaisip mag bulalo. Binabayaran po ang bawat takbo ng electric meter.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE COST: P450/day for 8 hours per staff. Karamihan po ng transient houses ay nagbabayad ng maglilinis ng bahay, wala ng time and energy si owner na sya pa mismo maglinis, tapos iiwan mo pa ang house na makalat at ang basura! Hugasan naman sana ang pinagkainan.
LAUNDRY COST: P60-80/ kilogram. Isang gamitan lang ang bedsheets, linens, blankets. Sa 2 guests na gagamit ng bedsheets and blankets, equivalent to 3 - 5 kilos, that’s 180-400 na kaagad. If transient owner ang maglalaba - kuryente + detergent + downy + labor. Do the math.
CABLE TV & INTERNET: P1,900 – 3,000 / month, depende sa subscription speed para lang may entertainmentsi guests.
FURNITURES & APPLIANCES: k**a, bed linens, blankets, unan, sofa set, dining set, refrigerator, electric fans, TV, stove, pots and pans, utensils, etc. Lahat po ng gamit sa transient house, puhunan expenses yan na binili ni owners for the comfort and convenience of guests.
ANNUAL & MONTHLY DUES: Eto ang hindi madalas makita ni guests na expenses ni transient owners – ang business permit, taxes, occupancy tax, at kung ano anong binabayaran just to continue to operate.

Libre Aircon (malamig ang Baguio) - hanapin mo na lang kung saan ang patayan ng central aircon kung nalalamigan ka na.
Libre Puyat - pag pinagintay ng hating gabi gang madaling araw ang owner.
Hospitality - instant friend minsan si owner pa nagaasikaso and magcheckin and checkout sa guests.
Tourist Information - libre info na binibigay ni owner from places to visit, restaurants, hospitals, church, etc.
Libre parking, gamit sa kitchen, plato, platito, kutsara, tinidor, baso, mugs, minsan libre kape, asukal, tapos hihingi ka pa ng asin, magic sarap, at kung anik anik na sangkap.
INCOME NI TRANSIENT OWNER KUNG NAGBAYAD KA NG 350: Baka abunado or P10 pesos per person na lang. Libre na pagod nya. Pag nakabasag ka pa ng gamit, abonado na. Pag naiuwi ang susi, palit ng door k**b. Mandatory reports pa ng city hall & DOT. wala na natira kay owner.
