BAGUIO AMONG CLEANEST CITY IN SOUTHEAST ASIA (2024)
Congratulations Baguio!
Baguio is in the list of cleanest cities, Ranked 5th, with the lowest pollution levels in Southeast Asia, according to the 2024 Mid-Year Numbeo Pollution Index.

Baguio was not the only city in the country to gain recognition. Three other Philippine cities – Davao ranked 2nd, Cebu ranked 10th, and Manila ranked 14th. All these three cities made it to the top 16 cleanest cities, highlighting their tremendous efforts in addressing environmental concerns.

Members of BLISTT-CAR recently experienced the calming power of nature with shinrin-yoku, or forest bathing, at the first official Forest Bathing Trail in the Philippines, located at Camp John Hay in Baguio City.

Forest bathing, a Japanese practice, encourages you to fully immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the forest to boost mental and physical well-being.

Members of the BLISTT-CAR Tour Guides had an incredible opportunity to visit The Mansion, an iconic symbol of Baguio’s rich history, as it opened its doors to the public for the first time as The Presidential Museum.

Built in 1908 as the official residence for American Governor Generals, and later serving as the official summer residence for Philippine presidents, The Mansion is now a remarkable museum that showcases the legacy of our nation’s leaders.

The Presidential Museum offers a deeper connection to and understanding of our nation’s history and identity. Through guided tours, we bridge the past and present, fostering a sense of appreciation and responsibility for our shared heritage.
