SAGADA 'TRUE ORANGE'

Sagada Mayor Felicito Dula shows what authentic oranges typically grown in Sagada, Mt. Province look like in a media briefing during his visit to the city Aug. 9.

Dula sought to dispel misinformation on their orange produce caused by misbranding by some traders who attach the town's name to the imported kind to attract buyers especially tourists.

A buyer recently called the attention of Mayor Benjamin Magalong on the mislabeling of orange produce in one tourist spot in the city prompting an intensified crackdown on businesses engaged in deceptive marketing schemes. - Aileen P. Refuerzo/Neil Ongchangco
