HAPPY NEW YEAR !!! (3 days in & still in the mode 🥳)
It’s impossible to mark the new year without THANKING ALL OF YOU who accompanied us since we started rather tentatively in 2018, armed mainly with our love for travel & a lot of extra bedsheets & dinner ware 🍽🥢🥤. Those of you who patiently waited for us to reopen - very slowly - late 2022 after being totally closed since Feb2020.
And what a year it was! More than our new View Deck & garage (ahem 😉), what was really heartwarming was hosting back old friends & meeting new ones 💖.
While we & you have had to adjust to new safety normals, GIVING YOU A FRIENDLY, WARM, RELAXING BAGUIO HOME WAS ALWAYS THE PLAN from the start. Even if we’re not like your fancy hotel, our hearts are to serve you a genuine Baguio experience.
So here’s to all of you (yes, even the naughtier ones hehe) who have inspired us to stick to the plan. 🦉🐥

😻 One of our pet cats, edsheeran, loves to keep us company when we are fixing stocks for our Honesty Store — we think he secretly craves chocolates 😅. Not only that, we discovered that when birds are nearby, he tries to MIMIC the bird sounds ! LISTEN CLOSELY, here he is in action 🤡🤡🤡, with one of us humans doing a chirping errh braying cameo ahehe 😬😬.

🌿 Our elders passed on to us a GARDEN WITH THEIR BELOVED PLANTS. Far from a manicured area, the Chirping Birds garden has always been a work in progress which we fill with plants we love, trending or not ☺️. Everyday we work learning how to make them flourish without chemical/inorganic fertilizers & pesticides. By popular demand 😆, we will sell to guests🪴🪴🪴.
Our NOW 60+foot RUBBER PLANT TREE (Ficus Elastica) fronting Sparrow House was planted when one of us was 10 years old.
A popular indoor plant, it is believed to attract money, prosperity & positivity into the household. Besides being a “dramatic accent in a room, rubber plants can remove airborne toxins and fight tropical diseases and parasites. Studies have proven the plant's ability to remove formaldehyde from the air, which is found in cleaning supplies and furniture” (elledecor.com).
