Passengers affected by flight cancellations are urged to manage their bookings via our website, http://bit.ly/CEBmanageflight

-REPOST-

To those who had to cancel travel plans, we empathize with you. We understand that you were looking foward to spending time with family and friends abroad, trying new food, and experiencing different cultures.

Yes, to put it bluntly, it sucks. Holy Week is peak season for the travel industry, but what sucks more is that there is now zero business for us in this industry.

To those demanding a refund from a travel agency, rest assured we are all trying our best to get your money back.

But in this time of COVID-19, we ask for your patience and empathy. Think before you speak. There is no need to yell, no need to swear, no need to threaten your travel agents with law suits. This is the time for class, not crass.

If you can afford a luxury tour out of the country, we are sure it is not the end of the world if you do not receive a refund today.

Again, we urge you to please think about the plight of others before you complain about why your refund is taking so long.

Think about the thousands who do not have jobs in the travel industry at this time:

1. Travel agents who passionately planned your tour, and the reservations staff, visa processors, etc. who did the legwork

2. Bus, ferry, and train drivers who were supposed to safely drive you, and the mechanics who maintain the transportation

3. Tour guides who were excited to explain the beauty of their country to you

4. Chefs, waiters, and waitresses who were supposed to prepare and serve you new cuisine

5. Hotel staff, from the doorman, bell boy/porters, check-in counter, and cleaning staff who were supposed to ensure your comfort

6. Flight attendants, pilots, and all airline/airport crew who were supposed to get you to your destination

7. Entertainers who were supposed to lively sing and dance for your happiness

8. Shop owners who were preparing to practice their bargaining and discount tactics so that you could bring home a luggage full of souvenirs

The list goes on and on.

So again, our only request is for your patience and understanding.

Think before you speak.
Thank you, and please stay at home, be productive, and may God bless you and your families with good health. 🙂

We look forward to the day we can travel with you again, hopefully sooner, than later.

3. Full refund: Obtain a full refund to your original payment method for the amount equivalent to your booking.

Guests whose travel plans are affected by restrictions or cancellations are advised to refer to the Covid-19 Refund Request Guide. Guests should visit support.airasia.com and speak to AVA for 24/7 assistance. Guests may reach AirAsia Philippines’ emergency hotline at (02)8722-2742.

Free rebooking for all passengers booking flights and traveling from MARCH 10-31, 2020 ONLY
Cebu Pacific offers flexibility to passengers, given the Philippine government’s updates with regards to the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).
We understand the concerns and hesitation passengers have with regards to air travel. Hence, we have made some revisions to our booking policies:
1. Passengers booked for Philippines and international travel from March 10 to 31, 2020 can rebook their flights for free. Fare difference may apply. They may rebook their flights through the following:
a. By calling the hotline at +632-8702-0888 [7am-10pm (PH local time), daily]. Visit http://bit.ly/CEBcontactus for our other contact centers
b. Through the "Manage Booking" portal in the Cebu Pacific website (http://bit.ly/CEBmanageflight). This option will be available starting March 11 (Wednesday)
2. Passengers booking new flights between March 10 and 31, 2020 (regardless of travel date and route) can avail CEB Flexi for free. CEB Flexi enables travelers to rebook their flights up to two times, and up to (2) hours before departure. Fare difference may apply. Simply select the "CEB Flexi" add-on. They may use CEB Flexi to rebook their flights through the "Manage Booking" portal in the Cebu Pacific website (http://bit.ly/CEBmanageflight).

While there are some restrictions in place, in general, travelling remains largely safe, as long as preventive measures are done habitually and travelers stay updated on factual information.
Cebu Pacific has always been committed to upholding the safety of all our passengers and personnel. Preventive measures are in place to manage the risk of infection from COVID-19 . These measures include thorough disinfection of aircraft, on top of the regular cleaning; providing our crew with Personnel Protective Equipment such as face masks, gloves and disinfectants; restriction on transferring of seats during our flights; and use of HEPA air filters, that block 99.99% of contaminants and viruses.
We hope this provides a measure of confidence as passengers consider their travel plans. We will continue to monitor the situation with regards to COVID-19, and provide updates as necessary.

Cebu Pacific Peak Season Travel Advisory
As of December 20, 2019

Cebu Pacific and Cebgo remind all passengers to allot ample time to get to the airport and go through security inspection, immigration screening, check in, bag drop and other pre-departure requirements. Passengers with flights during peak travel periods are encouraged to be at the airport at least two hours before departure for domestic flights, and three hours for international flights.

Those travelling Australia (Sydney and Melbourne) need to allot additional time for more stringent security screening required by their governments.

REMINDERS FOR CHECK-IN AND BOARDING:

We strongly recommend using any of the following to speed-up the check-in process:

• CEB Web Check-in. Visit the Check-in section of the Cebu Pacific website (http://www.cebupacificair.com). For international flights, web check-in is available from seven (7) days up to four (4) hours before scheduled flight departure. Those taking domestic flights can do web check-in up to one (1) hour before their scheduled departure.

• CEB Mobile Check-in. Download the official Cebu Pacific Mobile App on the App Store or Google Play and tap on the Check-in option. CEB mobile check-in is available from seven (7) days to four (4) hours before an international flight, and up to one (1) hour before a domestic flight.

Passengers on domestic flights who used CEB Web or Mobile Check In can get their boarding passes through their devices. Those with no check in baggage can go straight to their boarding gate. Passengers with check in baggage, on the other hand, can drop these off at the bag drop counter no later than 45 minutes before the flight.

Passengers on international flights may also check in via the website or mobile app. Those who received their boarding pass and have no bags to check in will need to bring a printed copy of their boarding pass to be able to immediately proceed to immigration and final security check. On the other hand, passengers who have check in baggage and those who did not receive their boarding passes upon using CEB Web or Mobile Check In will need to show up at the check in counters to present valid travel documents and drop their bags at least one (1) hour before their flight. Passengers on international flights are strongly advised to immediately proceed to the immigration counters after completing check in requirements.

We advise all passengers to monitor flight information and if possible, immediately proceed to their respective boarding gates. Passengers should be at the gate at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time of departure, except for flights departing Dubai (45 minutes).

All check in counters close 45 minutes before the scheduled time of flights, except those exiting Dubai (one hour) and Shanghai (50 minutes) to finalize flight manifest and pre-departure requirements of the authorities. All boarding gates close 15 minutes before the scheduled time of flights, except flights exiting Dubai (20 minutes).

REMINDERS FOR CHECK-IN AND HAND-CARRY BAGGAGE:

Passengers are reminded to pack their luggage properly and ensure that checked in baggage have proper identification labels with name, address and contact details. While weighing scales at the check-in counters are calibrated regularly to ensure accuracy, check the weight prior to heading for the airport to avoid the hassle of repacking upon check in.

Cebu Pacific and Cebgo allow only ONE (1) hand-carry bag with maximum weight of seven (7) kilos, with dimension of up to 56cm x 36cm x 23cm. This dimension includes most wheeled cabin bags and backpacks.

In addition to one hand-carry baggage, each passenger may also bring ONE small bag not exceeding 35cm x 20cm x 20cm. This includes handbags, purses and laptop bags that can fit under the seat.

Adult passengers traveling with infants may carry-on ONE small bag containing baby food and necessities, aside from their allowed hand-carry baggage.

Assistive or medical items such as walking canes, foldable walkers and baby strollers; as well as items purchased inside the airport (airside) are ON TOP OF the hand-carry baggage allowance for each passenger.

For any concerns, please approach Cebu Pacific roving agents for assistance.

Filipinos are advised to take the polio vaccine before travelling to Indonesia.

The Philippine Embassy in Indonesia issued an advisory that requires Filipinos to get vaccinated at least four weeks before their trip to Indonesia.

This is to prevent the spread of the virus to the neighboring country.

Travelers to or from the Philippines are required to get immunized, and get an International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis.

If a traveler does not get immunized before entry to Indonesia, they will be fined 45,000 rupiah (approximately P170.00) by the Port Health Office and will be given the vaccine.

Refusal to get vaccinated could lead to deportation.
