EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 2022-0009

AN EXECUTIVE ORDER DISCONTINUING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS PURSUANT TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ALERT LEVEL 1 IN THE PROVINCE OF AURORA AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, the implementation of Alert Levels System in selected provinces, cities and municipalities as mandated by the national IATF enjoins the local government units to issue localized guidelines;
WHEREAS, the National IATF, through Resolution No. 163-A, series of 2022, dated February 27, 2022, placed the Province of Aurora under Alert Level 1 starting March 1, 2022;
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Guidelines on the Nationwide Implementation of Alert Level System for Covid-19 Response (with Amendments as of February 27, 2022) issued by the National IATF, there is a need to amend the existing travel guidelines relative to intrazonal and interzonal travels;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, GERARDO A. NOVERAS, Provincial Governor of the Province of Aurora, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby order the following:
SECTION 1. Discontinuance of Travel Restrictions. Documentary requirements shall no longer be required for all travelers when traveling to and from the Province of Aurora. As such, the Philippine National Police – Aurora Provincial Police Office (PNP-APPO) stationed at the Provincial Control Points shall now discontinue the issuance of travel pass slips to all travelers.
SECTION 2. Observance of Minimum Public Health Standards. In compliance with Section 6 – Guidelines for Areas under Alert Level 1 of the Guidelines on the Nationwide Implementation of Alert Level System for Covid-19 Response, all municipal LGUs are enjoined to issue localized guidelines relative to the strategies of: 1) Prevent; 2) Detect; 3) Isolate and Quarantine; 4) Treat; 5) Reintegrate; and, 6) Vaccinate, to ensure that minimum public health standards and health and safety protocols are observed.
SECTION 3. Repealing Clause. All issuances inconsistent with the provisions of this Order are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.
SECTION 4. Separability Clause. If, for any reason, any part or provision of this Order is declared invalid or unconstitutional, any part or provision not affected thereby shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 5. Effectivity. This Executive Order shall take immediately.
