When I asked Manang Boks, granddaughter of Tata Orong Bañez about her fondest memory of Semana Santa, she replied, “Ti malagip ko tay agtitinnulong ti tattao (karruba, kakabagian ken gagayyem ni Tatangmi idi) nga agpatakder iti abong-abong, tagnawa kunadan sa idi ti kasdiay isu awan ti bayad da nga umay tumulong nga ag-obra. Agluluto met dagitay dadduman para merienda ken pangaldaw. No ti aldaw ti Viernes Santo, kalaksidan ti inkami panagtulong ti agluto ti makmakan para ti pa-leccio, agay-ayam kami pay umuna ti tinuktok (tay maburak ti ukis na, isu ti maabak). Manipud mapatakder ti abong-abong, panagdekorar ti altarna, panagluto para kadagiti umay maki-leccio, ken tay panagpakan ti pa-leccio, haan maputpot ti gagayyem ken kakabagian nga umay diay balay. Isu ti ragsakmi idi. Uray no haan mabalin ti ag-TV, ag-radio, agiryag wenno agkatawa ti napigsa, isu ti timemi nga agkakadua kami nga agkakasinsin ken makumpleto kami nga familia ti Semana. Malpas ti libot, pasiarenmi dagiti abong-abong ti entero nga Bangued.”
