Food tripping

While Rizal doesn’t really have this specialty dish like sisig in Pampanga or lechon in Cebu, the province also makes a good destination for foodies. A must-try delicacy when in Rizal is the different kinds of kakanin or rice cakes like the p**o, bibingka, biko, and suman that is best paired with coco jam! Antipolo is a good place to try these for starters. There are many stalls in Antipolo Church that sell suman and cashew nuts (that are popular here too by the way) at the cheapest price! This should definitely be in your must-try Antipolo things to do list!

Antipolo Cathedral (formally known as the National Shrine of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage and the Immaculate Conception Parish) is a Roman Catholic cathedral located in Antipolo in the Philippines. It enshrines the Marian image of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage (Spanish: Nuestra Señora de la Paz y Buen Viaje), and is the seat of the Bishop of Antipolo.It is also the Immaculate Conception Parish and is referred to by locals as the "Simbahan ng Antipolo" (Church of Antipolo).

Wawa Dam

Wawa Dam (also known as Montalban Dam)[1] is a gravity dam constructed over the Marikina River in the municipality of Rodriguez in Rizal province, Philippines.The slightly arched dam is situated in the 360-metre (1,180 ft) high Montalban Gorge or Wawa Gorge,a water gap in the Sierra Madre Mountains, east of Manila. It was built in 1909 during the American colonial era to provide the water needs for Manila.It used to be the only source of water for Manila until Angat Dam was built and Wawa was abandoned in 1968. Due to insufficiency of water supply for Metro Manila, there was a strong clamor to reuse the dam. The dam and surrounding area is currently protected as part of the Pamitinan Protected Landscape.
