I was intrigued by the fact that the direct assault to the peak, known by oldtimers as "Nicky's Trail" is not used as often anymore because unlike the trail to the saddle, the direct route is hardly visible. I opened the trail 15 years ago with some local friends of whom 2 have gone on to the great mountain in the sky.
