The Bayabas Municipal Tourism Office spearheaded by our Municipal Tourism Designate - Mr. Judegeji C. Limbaro conducted Bayabas' First Cultural Walk yesterday. Present are our Municipal and Brgy. Officials, as well as the different Municipal Tourism Officers of the Province, Provincial Tourism Office of Surigao del Sur, Department of Tourism - Caraga Region, and our guest speaker, Mr. Billy Ray Malacura.

Mabuhay! The Local Government Unit of Bayabas is thrilled to invite all drag queens to participate in the Bayabas Town Fiesta - the Drag Queen Lip Sync Battle!

Showcase your charisma and showmanship as you take the stage to deliver a mesmerizing lip-sync performance that will captivate the audience.

Whether you're an experienced lip-sync artist or just starting out, we welcome performers of all levels to dazzle us with their talent.

TO REGISTER:
1. Drag queens of all ages from various municipalities in the province are encouraged to participate.

2. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, with only 8 exclusive slots available from July 23 to July 26, 2024.

3. The competition will feature one performance per contestant to showcase their best lip-syncing talent.

4. Each contestant can choose their own music for a maximum performance time of 4 minutes.

5. Performances should demonstrate charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent (the four pillars of drag).

6. Judges will evaluate performances based on lip-syncing ability, stage presence, costume & makeup, and overall entertainment value.

7. The use of portrayals, costumes, or props with religious significance is strictly prohibited.

8. To ensure safety in every performance, the use of objects or props that could harm the performer or co-performers during the entire show is strictly prohibited.

9. Chosen finalists will be notified via phone call or Facebook Messenger.

- Lip sync ability: 30%
- Stage presence: 30%
- Costume & Make-up: 20%

This event provides a safe and supportive space for all drag performers to express themselves freely and proudly. Let's come together to create an unforgettable night.

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to our Municipal officials, headed by Hon. Apolonio B. Lozada, Municipal Mayor, and Hon. Maria Clarita G. Limbaro, Municipal Vice Mayor along with all the SB members and Punong Barangays, for your trust and unwavering support.

To our Booth construction team, including my partner Mr. Johnfred Lucentes and all the engineering boys and tourism personnel, thank you for your dedication and passion to always strive for the best. From ingress to egress, your industrious spirit never wavered.
