Cebu Pacific Advisory #2
Heavy Rainfall and Flooding Affecting Dubai Flights
As April 19, 2024; 1:00 PM
Cebu Pacific (CEB) advises its passengers that it is currently working hard to restore its operations in Dubai in the aftermath of the heavy rains, flooding and severe thunderstorms that affected all airlines and several hundreds of flights. The adverse weather condition has caused widespread disruption to flights throughout the United Arab Emirates, which has subsequently resulted to significant congestion at the Dubai International Airport.
Over the past few days, Dubai airport authorities have implemented multiple necessary restrictions to try to ease congestion and facilitate a gradual recovery process. Unfortunately, this has an ongoing impact on our operations, and we anticipate that the situation may persist for a while.
Our top priority has been to bring our passengers to their intended destinations as soon as conditions permit. In the process, there have been delays in the delivery of baggage from Dubai. Rest assured that CEB is working with Dubai airport authorities to ensure that passengers will receive their baggage as soon as possible.
To reduce congestion, passengers are advised to proceed to the airport only when they have confirmed bookings. Passengers are also encouraged to check the status of their flights via https://www.cebupacificair.com/flight-status before proceeding to the airport.
CEB is offering flexible options, which include free rebooking and a travel fund, to passengers who wish to postpone their flights to and from Dubai scheduled until April 24, 2024. They may avail themselves of their preferred option online up to two (2) hours before their scheduled time of departure.
As this is a developing situation, some flight changes may take place in the coming days. Passengers are advised to update their contact details via the Manage Booking portal to receive email notifications on flight reminders and updates.
For other questions or concerns, passengers may send a message via Charlie the chatbot on the Cebu Pacific website, or through CEB’s official Facebook and Twitter accounts.
We thank our passengers for their patience and understanding. We will provide updates as necessary.
