IN PHOTOS | Vivacious smiles and an artful display of Misamisnon craftsmanship filled El Salvador City as the contingents of the 12th Kuyamis Festival Dance Competition danced to the Kuyamis beat!

The municipality of Naawan once again emerged as the champion in this year's competition, taking home the awards for Best in Choreography, Musicality, and Storyline. The municipality of Magsaysay claimed the first runner-up title, while the municipality of Claveria completed this year's winners as second runner-up, also earning the Best in Costume award. Third and fourth runner-up honors were awarded to Initao and Gingoog City, respectively.

Welcome to Misamis Oriental, Xavier School! 🫶🏻💙

Governor Peter M. Unabia extends a warm welcome to the 80 students and faculty members from Xavier School in San Juan as they visit Northern Mindanao for a benchmarking activity. Their exploration of our province has brought them to popular destinations like the Divine Mercy Shrine and the Misamis Oriental Provincial Capitol—one of our treasured cultural properties.

As a Jesuit Catholic college preparatory school with a unique Chinese and Filipino character, Xavier School continues to shape future leaders through its K-12 curriculum.

We’re also honored to know that among the visiting students is the son of Senator Migz Zubiri, adding a special connection to this meaningful visit. And as our token of appreciation for their visit,each of them received Turismo Misor personalized mugs from Gov. Peter M. Unabia and Provincial Tourism Family.
