OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON THE ALLEGED HEALTH CONCERNS LINKED TO CAGWAIT WHITE BEACH

In reference to the post made on Facebook by Ms. San Pedro on October 29, 2024, regarding health concerns allegedly linked to the Cagwait White Beach area, the Local Government Unit of Cagwait is currently conducting an investigation to verify the validity of this claim.

For the safety of the general public, LGU Cagwait regularly conducts water sampling in coordination with the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) to ensure that beach conditions do not compromise the health and safety of visitors.

Additionally, despite the significant number of beachgoers each month, no official complaints have been received on this matter to date.

Rest assured, the welfare of our community and visitors remains our highest priority.

The beach resonated with chants and cheers as 𝐌𝐬. 𝐌𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞 𝐉𝐨𝐲 𝐑. 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬, our stunning 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐚𝐬 𝐧𝐚𝐧 𝐊𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐧 2024 representing Barangay Poblacion, took the stage for the highly anticipated question and answer portion. With every graceful step, she embodied the resilience and spirit of our community.

“Yes, of course! Aside from the fact that it's already part of Philippine culture, beauty pageants are indeed a useful platform for embracing diversity and inclusivity. Through pageants, we can promote the municipality to grow and be known not just in Surigao Del Sur, but in the entire universe.”
