The Ruins in Bacolod, also known as the "Talisay Ruins," is a notable historical site in the Philippines. Originally built in the early 1900s as a luxurious mansion for the sugar baron Mariano Ledesma Lacson, it was designed by Italian architect Juan Arellano. The mansion was constructed as a tribute to Lacson's deceased wife.
During World War II, the structure was set on fire by Japanese soldiers to prevent its use by American forces. Despite being left in ruins, the site has become a popular tourist attraction, known for its architectural beauty and romantic ambiance.
