In 2010, Zhangjiajie's unique sandstone peak forest landform was officially named "Zhangjiajie Landform" by the international geological academic community.

How did the sandstone peak forest landform form?🧐

In the Devonian era 380 million years ago, Zhangjiajie was still a vast ocean. With the movement of the earth's crust, the rock formations on the seabed rose into land, and the land turned into oceans, forming quartz sandstone more than 500 meters thick.
In the later stages of the orogeny, neotectonic movements caused intermittent uplift in this area.

After hundreds of millions of years of rain erosion, coupled with the superposition of rock collapse and weathering, Platform Fangshan has gradually turned into independent mountains.

After a slow and long geological evolution, today's Zhangjiajie sandstone peak forest landform was finally formed.🥳

Due to the impact of Typhoon Carina (International Name: Gaemi) on our operations, Cebu Pacific advises its passengers to expect cancellations and flight delays throughout the day.

The Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 4, where our Cebgo (DG) flights operate, is closed and inaccessible due to flooding. All arriving DG flights will be diverted to NAIA Terminal 3.

Passengers are advised to monitor the status of their flights via https://www.cebupacificair.com/flight-status and update their contact details via the Manage Booking portal to receive email notifications on flight reminders and updates.

Passengers affected by cancelled flights are also advised not to proceed to the airport for their safety and to avoid getting stuck on flooded roads.
