Due to the continuous increase in Tourist visa applications, the Japan Embassy in the Philippines is experiencing extreme strain in managing its operations. Please be informed that the processing will now take up to 3 weeks (15 working days) or longer.



In light of this situation, and to ensure the proper and accurate screening of your application, effective January 20, 2025, the embassy will limit the acceptance of Tourist visa applications.



Therefore, we encourage you to inform your clients to plan their visa application processing at least 2 months prior to the intended travel date to anticipate the longer processing time. NO RUSH processing will be accommodated.



Furthermore, the embassy has set a new limit on Tourist Visa applications that they will accept from us effective Monday, January 20, 2025. To accommodate this change, starting Friday, January 17, 2025, we will limit the number of applications we receive from your agency. This is to ensure that all partner agencies are accommodated. We will send a separate email detailing your daily application limits so you can manage your applications and assist your clients with their travel plans.
