Just recently, Puerto Princesa Underground River (PPUR) was temporarily closed for three days from July 1 to July 3 to give the river a rest. Since being declared as one of the new Seven Wonders of the World back in 2011, there are around 1300 tourist both local and foreign that enters the river everyday.

The 3-day rest was proposed by a non-government organization named IsDa Revolution... The group wanted this 3-day rest to be done annually, which will also give way to park rangers to do their restoration and rehabilitation activities.

Mother Nature needs to rest too...
