Bohol's Ube Kinampay, the queen of Philippine yams, famous for its fragrant aroma and sweet taste, deserves a royal celebration. Bohol’s Ubi Festival is a colorful tribute to this “savior crop.”

During the pre-Hispanic times, the discovery of ube saved the locals from hunger and was eventually the province’s staple food.

Join the festivities from December 18-20, 2024 and indulge in a world of ube, from delectable treats to stunning displays. Experience farm tours, cultural performances, and exciting competitions.

𝗣𝗥𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗖𝗘𝗕𝗨!

Cebu City's Sinulog Festival and Lapu-Lapu City's Garbo sa Lapu-Lapu Festival won in the recent 2024 Kasanggayahan Festival National Festival of Festivals held in the Province of Sorsogon.

Sinulog Festival emerged as the overall champion, while Lapu-Lapu City secured fourth runner-up. Additionally, Sinulog Festival garnered awards for Best in Costume and Best in Moving Choreography.

The inaugural Kasanggayahan Festival National Festival of Festivals was held in conjunction with the 50th Golden Anniversary of the Kasanggayahan Festival in the Province of Sorsogon, the province's 130th Founding Anniversary, and the 455th commemoration of the First Mass that marked the introduction of Christianity in Luzon.

Talisay City's Halad Inasal Festival celebrates its renowned lechon (commonly known in Cebuano as “Inasal”), a culinary masterpiece known for its golden-brown, crispy skin and flavorful, herb-stuffed meat.

This vibrant celebration, held in honor of the city's patron saint, Sta. Teresa de Avila, features spectacular street dancing performances and showcases the city's rich gastronomic heritage.

Tablea is locally-produced chocolate made from roasted cacao beans ground up into balls. It typically comes in the form of coin-shaped tablets. The Lazi Convent, a U-shaped historical structure constructed of coral stones, invites visitors on a historical journey. As one of Asia's oldest and largest convents, this architectural gem, now serves as Siquijor's Heritage Museum.
