We go now to Cebu’s South Road Properties (SRP) where the construction of the Cebu Ocean Park is nearing its completion. This is another milestone in Cebu’s endless list of developing attractions happening in 2018. The oceanarium is the first marine park in the Visayas and Mindanao featuring various sea animals (200 species) in one location, along with several species of birds, insects, and reptiles. The park is set to have its soft opening in December 2018, in time for Christmas season.
Built in the tradition of Manila Ocean Park, but the Cebu Ocean Park (occupying an area of 10,000sqm) is much bigger than its Manila counterpart (8,000sqm). In fact, the Cebu Ocean Park is the largest of its kind in the Philippines. The park also features function spaces and a food hall. The project is a partnership between SM Supermalls and Cebu Sealife Park, Inc.
