A closer look at SM Seaside City's "The Cube".
I AM A CEBUANO's interpretation of this figure:
It is a cube because the progress and growth of Cebu is as geometric as in having the cube of any integer greater than 1.
Let's have 3 for example for it is the base of this giant cube... The cube of 3 is 27, and the cube of 27 is 19,683. This growth pattern reflects the progress of Cebu - the more it grows, the more rapid its growth becomes. Hence, the term "CEBOOM".
SM's interpretation:
The Cube, which is a sculptural piece made of steel, is a symbol of strength and stability. It is a tribute to the resilience of the Cebuanos in particular and the Filipino people in general.
Viewed from any angle and perspective, The Cube consistently appears the same. The consistency reflects the philosophy of the SM group to bring to its customers the same high level of quality service in all areas it operates. It is also interesting to note that when the letters Cube are re-arranged(anagram), it spells Cebu.
Aside from my interpretation and SM's story as to why they choose and dedicate this figure to Cebu, we are certain that you also have your own interpretation of the Cube.
