Ahead of the much-awaited week-long event, registration is now open for the 28th Siargao International Surfing Cup - World Surf League Qualifying Series (QS) 5000 and is set to take place from October 26 to November 4, 2024, at the iconic Cloud 9 in Siargao Island.

This year’s event is co-sanctioned with the Australia/Oceania region, elevating it to a bigger international competition that brings together top surfers from around the world. Deadline of registration is on October 1, 2024.

In a swift 35-minute journey, the inaugural commercial flight from Mactan Island touched down at the Bantayan Island Airport at 8:36 AM.

What used to be a six-hour trip from Cebu City has been cut down significantly, allowing visitors more time to indulge and enjoy Bantayan Island's tourism offerings!

TIGER SHARK SPOTTED IN MALAPASCUA

Breathtaking underwater snapshots capture the tiger shark in the waters off Monad Shoal, Malapascua Island, Cebu, as seen in these photos taken on May 19, 2024.

These photos were taken at a depth of 12 meters (40 feet) within Monad Shoal.

Malapascua Island is known for its world-class diving experience with thresher sharks. However, another species of shark (tiger sharks) has been spotted in the island's waters, adding to its allure for both local and foreign divers.
