The City of Lapu-Lapu will be celebrating its 289th Feast Day of Nuestra Seรฑora de Regla with the Theme: "๐๐ฏ๐ต๐ณ๐ถ๐ด๐ต๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐๐ถ๐ณ๐ด๐ฆ๐ญ๐ท๐ฆ๐ด ๐ต๐ฐ ๐๐ฐ๐ฅ ๐๐ฉ๐ณ๐ฐ๐ถ๐จ๐ฉ ๐๐ฆ๐ณ๐ท๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ต ๐๐ณ๐ข๐บ๐ฆ๐ณ ๐ธ๐ช๐ต๐ฉ ๐๐ข๐ณ๐บ ๐๐ถ๐ณ ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐บ ๐ฐ๐ง ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐๐ถ๐ญ๐ฆ."
Part of the celebration is the annual Fluvial Procession which will be on November 12, 2024. An integral part of the celebration, symbolizing the deep devotion of the Oponganons to Nuestra Seรฑora de la Regla.
To celebrate the solemn event, please refer to the guidelines below for those who will participate.
FLUVIAL PROCESSION 2024 GUIDELINES
1. Assembly Time: Participants must gather by 5:30 AM on November 12, 2024, at Cordova Roro Port.
2. Passenger Capacity: To ensure safety compliance, the number of passengers must not exceed the vesselโs maximum seating capacity. All passengers are required to wear life jackets.
3. Prohibited Items: Smoking, drinking, and bringing alcoholic beverages are not allowed. Fireworks, firecrackers, balloons, and party poppers are strictly prohibited.
4. Vessel Dรฉcor: All vessels must be decorated in the Marian colors of sky blue and white.
5. Safety Equipment: Each vessel must have life jackets on board for emergency situations.
6. Passenger Manifesto: Vessels are required to provide a manifesto listing all passengers on board.
7. Vessel Specifications: Only motorized bancas with a gross tonnage of 3 tons and above will be permitted to participate in the fluvial procession.
