The Governor of Bohol has ordered immediate temporary suspension of motorbanca trips to Panglao’s Virgin island pending investigation on the incident of overpriced seafood sold in the area.

This followed after a social media post went viral yesterday about the overpriced seafood sold at the Virgin Island. A group of tourists paid over P26,000 last Friday for a meal that they ate while in the area.

Governor Aris Aumentado said that they are alarmed at the situation and he is calling for an emergency meeting to discuss the situation.

As of writing, DENR Bohol and its regional office is yet to comment on the issue. | via Annie Perez
