33 Eco Guides of Dapa, Siargao Island, completes DOT training

The Department of Tourism Caraga Region in partnership with the Local Government Unit and Municipal Tourism Office of Dapa, Surigao del Norte successfully concluded the 7th day of Community Tour Guiding - Eco Guides Training held at the Kiddie Function Hall, Brgy. Poblacion, Dapa, Surigao del Norte on May 21-27, 2024.

A total of 33 Community Tour Guides completed the seven-day training. Mr. Irvin Bendanillo, the Municipal Tourism Officer of Dapa, led the mock tour of the participants showcasing the beauty of Corregidor Island and it's delicacies where participants applied the knowledge and skills gained throughout the training.

Industry experts served as resource speakers of the said training headed by Eric A. Bontuyan, along with Nilo Allado Lazarito, Lyle X P. Dadulo, Ernesto G. Seriosa ll, and Marian D. Jill Castrence, DOT Accredited Resource Speakers.
